The Mystery of the Missing Apples

In a small village, there is an apple orchard owned by Farmer Brown. One morning, Farmer Brown noticed that some apples were missing. He knew that he had picked 150 apples the day before. He decided to investigate and found that three children, Alice, Ben, and Charlie, each took some apples.

Alice took 1/5 of the apples, Ben took 3/10 of the apples, and Charlie took 1/4 of the apples.

Question: How many apples did each child take, and how many apples were left in the orchard?

Comments

  1. The children took 30, 45, and 37.5 apples respectively, and 37.5 apples were left in the orchard.
