A rectangle has perimeter 32cm. The rectangle is three times as long as it is wide. What is the area of the rectangle

    We can call the width x. Now we can make an equation. 3x + x = 32, 4x=32, x=8.
    If the width is 8, the length would be 24. 24 * 8 is 192. This is our answer.
