Spinning

I turn 40 degrees clockwise, 70 degrees anticlockwise and finally 90 degrees clockwise. If I want to return to my original position by turning through the smallest possible angle, in which direction should I turn and what should the angle be?

  1. Let's say he starts at 0°. If he goes 40° clockwise, we can add 40 to the 0° giving us 40°. then he turns 70° anticlockwise so we can minus 70°. This would give us -30°. Now we need to add 90° to get 60°. Now we need to get back to 0° which means our answer would be 60° anticlockwise.
