A rectangle has a length of 50mm and has the same area as a square with side 70mm. Calculate the perimeter of the rectangle

Well first, we can find out what the area of the square is. If you do 70mm x 70mm it gives you 4900mm. Now we can divide the area of the square by the length of one of the sides of the rectangle. 4900/50 = 98. Now we need to find the perimeter of the rectangle. This would be 50 + 98 + 50 + 98 which is 296.
