ReplyDeleteTo find the factors of 120, we need to first prime factorize it. Once we have done this, we get 2^3 * 3^1 * 5^1. We then take the powers of the numbers and add one to them. This gives us 4, 2 and 2. We then multiply them and..... we have our answer! 16! This means that 120 obtains 16 factors.
2)
Once again, we need the prime factorization but this time, we use it for something else. We take the first number (2^3) and we add 2^0, 2^1, 2^2, and 2^3 as those are all the powers of 2 until we get to the number itself. We do this with each number and multiply the results. THis answer will give us 360!
