A zoo has lions, tigers and giraffes in the ratio 6:3:2 respectively. The zoo has 8 more lions than giraffes. How many tigers does it have?

If you just think of it as 6 lions, 3 tigers, and 2 giraffes only not in a ratio or anything. The the zoo would have 4 more lions than giraffes. But we need 8.
ReplyDeleteIf you look at the connection between 4 and 8, then you will see you need to double the 4. So just like that you would need to double the ratio to get 8 more because the ratio will be the same just the numbers won't.
