Tom and George play Tennis. On the weekend Tom played 4 more games than George did, and together they played 12 games. How many games did George play?

    12 games together.
    12 - 4 = 8
    8 ÷ 2 = 4
    Tom played 4 games.
    4 + 4 = 8
    George played 8 games so the answer is

    8 games
